Hi,

High Grade Treasures is Jesse and Martha Wellman.

If you have any questions, I will answer them!  Please send Questions to High Grade Treasures

I have been working on the shopping cart for the site. If you have any problems with placing an order Please, Please email me, and we will take care of your order.

Great to have you visiting our web site! This is like a peice of art that evolves, and we hope you like what you find. Martha and I last went to an area near Eureka Nevada looking for Ordovician silicified trilobites. This was my first time at this exact location, and we discovered that the outcrops where near the summit of the range. So next time we go we will have to prepare accordingly. I am in the process of putting together the last things needed for my photo studio, and this should result in a lot more pictures on this site in the next few weeks.

Have a Great Day!  Sunday, February 25th. Less than a month to Spring!!!

Your satisfaction with any item, or service we offer is our number one concern.  If for any reason you are not 100% satisfied with anything or any aspect of an item or a transaction, we offer a 30 day money back guarantee when returned in the original condition, no questions asked.

We accept PayPal, checks, and money orders for those who are in the United States.

We accept international money orders for international customers, funds in U.S. Dollars.  All checks must clear before an item is shipped, and this can add time, Paypal, or a money order is the quickest way for you to have your purchase.

We pay for shipping within the U.S. if the order is over $100.00.  Orders under $100.00 within the U.S. pay a flat $5.00 shipping fee.  International orders are billed at the actual cost, and we will be in contact with you to agree upon the best possible cost, speed, and safety for the delivery of your order.  We ship by U.S.P.S. unless you want other means that will be arranged at the time of the order.

All of our items are 100% natural.  They may have had some mechanical or chemical cleaning.  If any item has had repairs or stabilization done this will be noted in bold.  If in the course of time we offer anything that is not 100% natural, it will be noted in bold also.

Most of the items on this site have come from purchases made at the mine of origin, or through someone who was at the mine.  Some items we have collected ourselves too.

Nature is phenomenal beauty in the right conditions.  Our items represent the conditions of formation resulting in remarkable combinations of form, color, symmetry, rarity, and beauty.  This is not a museum, but would be a good place to start building your own personal natural history museum.  If you would like some guidance in how to begin the curator-ship of your own library of natural wonders please contact us.

We are in the process of adding shows to our schedule.  Currently we can be seen at the California Mining and Mineral Museum show in Mariposa California in April of each year.

Please send an email for anything related to rocks, minerals, fossils, gems, crystals, mineralogy, mineral exploration, you get the idea.   High Grade Treasures

We live in bright-lights high-desert Reno Nevada.

Located on the western edge of the Great Basin extensional province, and on the eastern flank of the mighty Sierra Nevada mountain range, the area (within a long days drive) has over 10,000 historical producing mines, and several dozen modern long-lived open pit, and underground gold mines. Nevada has been gifted mineral wise being in the top 10 gold producing areas of the world. This has made Reno a great place for a mineral collector to live.

But wait, there is more. Also fossil bearing strata from the Paleozoic to the Pleistocene containing some of the earliest trilobites, more recent mastodon remains and a good variety in between are found here. Though there is always someplace else that is reported to be better for this thing or that, the geological richness of the area is truly remarkable, and really should be enjoyed first hand.

I am also member of the Geological Society of Nevada, and The Friends of Mineralogy of Northern Nevada where we have rubbed elbows with the famous Fred Pough. I received my B.S. in Geology from Chico state in 1992.

Good friends we share a few laughs with are Alan Day and Scott Werschky of Miners lunch box, also Greg Ferdock of Sierra Nevada Gem Finders, and Scott Kleine of Great Basin Minerals.

I have worked in mineral exploration for over 10 years, and also consult with information systems development.

Items for the systematic collector, the living room mantle decorator, the artesian, and the connoisseur of the ascetic natural world, we hope this internet site has something of interest for all.

Thank You!

Have a great day, and may you always find things of beauty along your path.
